Our two locations have fully equipped examination rooms, large pharmaceutical stores, full sterile surgery facilities and a full range of modern equipment for on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health and medical needs. We can offer digital X-rays, on site ECG and ultrasound examinations, Dental care using the latest IM-3 dental base and on the spot, in house blood testing. We have a number of visiting specialists and consultants and good relationships with a number of Melbournes leading specialist centres for when referral is necessary.

Dr. Richard

BVSc, MSc, MRCVS, AQIS Accredited

Born and educated in Zimbabwe, Richard qualified in 1990 and obtained membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the UK by examination. He then studied at the Michigan State University obtaining a Veterinary Masters degree in Large Animal Clinical Sciences while doing a 3 year clinical residency program. Richard moved to Australia in 1997 and worked in the Northern Territory and NSW before settling in Shepparton in 2000. Richard has a keen interest in large animal medicine and surgery and also enjoys the variety of dogs and cats in the clinic. Richard is accredited for AQIS large and small animal export and is also accredited for Johnes MAP programs. Away from work Richard enjoys spending time with his partner Fiona and their three daughters, being outdoors, and doing such activities as horse riding and hiking.

Dr. Riana


BVSc (Hons I), AQIS Accredited

Riana grew up in the picturesque western district town of Dunkeld, at the foothills of the Grampians. Studying at Melbourne University and completing her BVSC with first class honours in 2001. Being a country girl, she sought out employment in the country and settled in Shepparton in 2002. Riana also has an interest in soft tissue surgery and business management. She has also obtained her AQIS and small animal export accreditation allowing her to give advice and perform tests and vaccinations required for export of pets’ overseas. Out of hours Riana enjoys camping with family and friends, visiting Dunkeld and getting her fix of the mountains, horse riding and amateur photography.

Dr. Fiona

BVSc, MRCVS, MANZCVSC (Small Animal Medicine)

Following graduation in Zimbabwe in 1993, and marriage to Richard Cameron, Fiona moved with him to Michigan, USA. Fiona spent a year doing clinical rotations at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital before entering private mixed practice in Michigan after obtaining accreditation by examination in North America. After locuming in her birthplace in the UK and passing the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons examinations, she has settled in Australia with Richard, making the Goulburn Valley their home in 2000. Fiona has completed postgraduate courses in small animal dermatology and internal medicine and obtained her membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal medicine in 2002. She has interests in small animal geriatric medicine and dermatology. When she has time between work and family she enjoys triathlon training and hiking Fiona consults from the Kialla Clinic. She has interests in small animal dentistry, geriatric medicine and dermatology.

Dr. Ben

BVSc (Hons I), BSc 

Having grown up in Ballarat and completed his Batchelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, in 2009, with Honours 1. He has a keen interest in dairy, canine medicine and surgery and is also interested in research, particularly in the area of parasitology. Outside of work, Ben loves anything that involves being outdoors, especially fishing.

Dr. Kate

BVSC Hons, Melbourne Uni 88

Kate grew up and studied in Melbourne, graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1988. Shortly after graduating Kate moved to the Goulburn Valley to work in a mixed practice at the Kyabram & Numurkah Veterinary Clinics, whilst also managing her large dairy herd of 1000 Cows. In her spare time Kate enjoys being an active member of the Numurkah Rotary club, being outdoors, and camping with her friends and family. Kate joined the team at the Shepparton Vet Clinic in 2014 and does small animal consults and farm calls.

Dr. Esma


Esma graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990. In 1998, Esma also completed a Masters Degree in Small Animal Medicine from Murdoch University. Esma is a local, born and raised in Shepparton. She attended Shepparton High School and has worked in the Shepparton area most of her life. Esma loves her job and the fact that no day is ever the same, she enjoys doing small animal consults and surgeries. Outside of work, Esma cares for her family, plays tennis and enjoys gardening. Esma Joined the team at Shepparton Vet Clinic in 2015 and works across both the Shepparton and Kialla clinics.

Dr. Kerryn

BVSc (Hons)

Kerryn grew up in South Africa in her earlier years before moving to Australia. She completed her veterinary studies at University of Queensland in 2012. Kerryn enjoys consults, medicine and surgery. Kerryn’s hobbies include endurance horse riding, running and cycling. Kerryn has 3 dogs, 2 cats and one horse and would one day love to have a farm with more animals.

Dr. Amanda


Amanda grew up in the western suburbs in Melbourne and completed her veterinary degree at the University of Melbourne and has started her veterinary career with us in Shepparton.  She loves anything outdoors underneath the sun, travelling/exploring new places/driving long distances with or without a reason, attempting to skateboard! What she enjoys most about working here:  ‘Everyday, hour, minute is different. You never know what will come through the door until it does and that keeps me on my toes. Being able to be a a part of a large and diverse team who always come to work together and help each other out.’

Dr. Rachel

Rachel completed an Animal science degree with honours in 2005 and then went on to complete her veterinary degree in 2010 at QLD university. She started her career in Bendigo, then worked at a general practice in preston for 4 years before working at an emergency and specialist practice in Melbourne for a year and a half. Rachel lives in Echuca with her partner Heath and her three dogs and horse. Rachel’s hobbies are collecting Rhodesian ridgebacks, boxing and horse riding. Rachel’s special interests include small animal medicine, including emergency medicine and surgery.

Our Veterinary Nurses


Veterinary Nurse (Cert. IV in Veterinary Nursing, Cert. III in Companion Animal Services,Cert. III in Equine Nursing,Cert. II in Animal Studies

Katherine has worked at Shepparton Vet Clinic since 2007. She enjoys her job as a veterinary nurse because she is able to make a difference to a much loved animals life. Katherine finds it rewarding and exciting as every day here is different and challenging. Katherine has two energetic Boxers called “Ollie” & “Bananas” whom she and her partner enjoy taking to dog obedience. Understandably they are very well behaved. She also has two horses ” Scully” & ” Monty” and “Violet” a gorgeous cat who she hand reared, plus a much loved bunny called TJ. Her favourite activities include snow boarding, walking the dogs, riding her horse and spending time with her family and friends.


Veterinary Nurse (Certificate II Animal studies, Certificate III Animal services and Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing.)

Deb has four children and assists her husband in running their 130 cow dairy farm in Kaarimba where they have resided for 23 years. Her main dairy farm duty is raising the calves but she loves to get out on the tractor ploughing or pasture harrowing. Deb is a Preliminary Level Pony club coach and spends many weekends away with her two daughters who compete in the disciplines of dressage and showing. They have 5 horses, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 deer and lots of cattle and wouldn’t live in the city for quids. It was Debs childhood ambition to be a veterinary nurse so once her children were grown and independent she has pursued that and is living her dream .

Certificate II in Business Administration, Certificate III in Financial Services and Certificate IV Companion Animal Services

Mandy has been part of the team at Shepparton Vet Clinic for nearly 10 years. She finds the most enjoyable part of her job is that she can get to know the clients and their animals. Mandy finds it a privilege to be able to support the clients from the arrival of a new puppy through to the farewell of a faithful companion.

Mandy owns “Denny” a Quarter Horse who is cheeky, smart and a lot of fun, also “Teddy” a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is a very good boy and “Poppy” a Cavoodle( poodle x cavalier) who is funny, cute and a bit spoilt! In her leisure time Mandy enjoys horse riding, gardening and church activities.


Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing, Certificate III Animal Technology

Tracey grew up in Numurkah on a large sheep farm. She always had a keen interest in animals and always knew that she wanted to pursue a career with them. In 1999 Tracey joined Shepparton Vet Clinic on a work placement to start her Animal Technology and Veterinary Nurse certificates. The following year Tracey was granted a Victorian Institute of sport scholarship for netball and moved to Melbourne to take this up. During that time she also continued her work in another vet clinic in Melbourne whilst continuing her studies. In 2006 Tracey moved back to the local area marrying a local Nathalia boy. Tracey re-joined Shepparton Vet Clinic in 2008 and has been here as a receptionist ever since. She loves cats, especially her baby “Lilly” and she also has two crazy dogs “Oscar” and “Bundy “. Tracey loves being part of the team, working in such a great environment.

Ambe originally trained as a Veterinary receptionist at the Canberra Veterinary Hospital for 3 years prior to moving to Shepparton in 2003. She missed working with animals in the veterinary industry and was happy to commence employment at the Shepparton Veterinary Clinic in 2005. Ambe has a true passion for all types of animals and enjoys being part of the team here. Her love of horses is something which she has had since she was able to walk and talk. Ambe spends whatever spare time she has cooking, gardening or riding and competing with her horses.

Aimee grew up in Shepparton, and obtained her Bachelor in Business from La Trobe University. In her spare time Aimee loves to travel, she enjoys experiencing all of the different cultures. Aimee enjoys the diversity of her job, and being part of such a wonderful team that are helping animals to live happy and healthy lives.

Bridgette is a local girl who grew up in Nathalia. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her kids, road trips and gardening.
Bianca is a local girl born and raised in Shepparton and became a part of the team at the clinic in 2014. Bianca enjoys her job, chatting to clients and meeting their furbabies. In her spare time Bianca enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets, camping, swimming, & going to the beach. Bianca has a Spoodle Ruby who loves walks, chasing ball and swimming in the pool, 4 chooks and a very noisy cockatiel named Max. Favourite Animals: Orang-utan, Dolphins and Dogs.

Certificate of Business Studies – Accounting

Wayne was born and grew up in Shepparton. After completing his accounting studies he worked for 26 years in the banking and finance industry with roles including managing accounting centres & systems administrator for some of the banks specialist products. This meant being stationed in Shepparton, Ballarat, Perth and finally in Melbourne’s head office. Wayne has been part of the vet clinic for the past 5 years.
