Vets can have very different opinions on this topic. Some promote the feeding of specific types of raw, meaty bones ( eg lamb necks) due to the massive benefit to dental health. Other vets do not recommend feeding any bones because of potential risks such as fracturing teeth, intestinal obstruction, constipation and gastroenteritis. Who do you believe? It is a case of owners making an informed decision. By being careful in the choice of raw bones relative to the size of the pet, one can significantly reduce the potential risks and gain the benefits.
